Support us

As a charity, Ipswich Town Community Trust works hard to make a difference to our local community, to children, young people and adults from across the region, by providing opportunities to participate in a wide variety of sporting and educational activities that they might not have access to otherwise.

Using the powerful medium of sport and our links with Ipswich Town Football Club, we aim to raise levels of educational achievement and encourage participation in a healthy active lifestyle, with core programmes focusing on football.

Last year more than 60,000 individuals were positively affected by the work of the Trust. We need your support to raise funds in order to engage with even more people, making a real impact on lives across the county.

One of the many influential success stories of last year was that of Lucy Oldham, a member of one of our previous Prince's Trust team.

Lucy's story

Being a part of the Prince’s Trust Team has not just had a positive effect on my mental health, and improved my life but has actually got me involved in enjoyable work. I really enjoyed the programme but I was desperate not to return to doing nothing again. Therefore, I returned the week after to help out with the next Prince’s Trust team, by volunteering as a peer mentor. I feel this will not only be beneficial to me as I will be gaining experience of working with people, but I am also hoping that by participating in this and continuing with job applications it is only a matter of time until this leads me on to paid work which I can get both enjoyment and satisfaction out of!”.

Lucy has now been selected as a National Prince's Trust Ambassador for Suffolk.

A word from Fabian Wilnis

"I wanted to give something back to the town that has become my second home and supporting the Community Trust is the best way to do this. They work wonders with the kids not only on the pitch, but also in the classroom spurring them on to achieve their goals, keeping them out of trouble and ultimately improving their lives. I have personal experience of the Trust through my own children's particiation and think it's great! This is why I have decided to become a donor to the Trust and encourage you too as well."

Fabian Wilnis is now Vice Patron of IT Community Trust.
