Aim Higher is a “careers” programme that literally encourages students to “Aim Higher”.
It is specifically targeted at Key Stage 4 and Further Education College students who might well be the first members of their family to attend University. Aim Higher is intended to raise awareness of the doors that higher education qualifications can open to young people.
Along with a Careers Talk, those students taking part in an Aim Higher Day at Ipswich Town Football Club get the opportunity to experience a stadium tour, take part in a ‘fun’ football coaching session and
experience the pressured environment of the Media Suite as they take part in a mock Press Conference. There are also opportunities for students to interview backroom staff members to learn more about a wide variety of careers.
Aim Higher looks at Ipswich Town Football Club as a case study – as a business which employs people in a wide range of job roles with a broad range of experiences, skills and qualifications.

The Aim Higher programme is offered at a cost of £6 per student. The Ipswich Town Community Trust has a flat fee of £180 for a minimum of 30 students with additional charges of £6 for every student over and above the 30. We usually work with a maximum of 50 students although larger groups can be catered for upon request.
Aim Higher is delivered at Ipswich Town Football Club, Suffolk.
