The ninth Prince’s Trust Team to take part in the programme run by Ipswich Town Community Trust, spent two days at Sherrington House in Ipswich where they worked hard to clean and tidy the communal gardens prepared them for an open day taking place that weekend.
This was followed by another two days working at Coniston Residential Home in Felixstowe where the team spent time renovating a shed, cleaning the pond and clearing the paths and gardens of overgrown plants and litter.
Proprietor of Coniston, Louise Bentley said: “We would like to extend our thanks to this team of amazing young people. They worked very hard and the residents really enjoyed watching them at work.
“It is wonderful to have positive remarks to make about these youngsters, as quite often we hear negative comments about this particular age group. The areas they worked on are much better and we are all very grateful.”

The team rounded the week off by spending a day tidying the gardens at Genesis Day Care Centre for people with learning and physical disabilities.
Joint Team Leader Andy Leeson said: “The team have worked really hard to get these gardens back to their former glory and we all felt a real sense of achievement once the gardens were completed.”
The Prince’s Trust team are always looking to help local charities and organisations. The service they provide is voluntary and any money needed for the project is raised by the team. If you would like more information please contact David Smith on 01473 400576 or e-mail
