Ipswich Town Women’s Football Club is now being run under the banner of the Community Trust and is overseen by Mark Lawrence, Director of Football for the Women’s Team and the Girls’ Centre of Excellence.
This new partnership with Ipswich Town Community Trust helps to build strong links between the Trust women’s team and their Girls’ Centre of Excellence, offering girls that opportunity to continue playing football and progress to a higher level once they have graduated from the Centre of Excellence.
The Trust's Women's Football Team has been divided in two teams, the Women's First Team and the Women's Reserve Team.
IPSWICH TOWN COMMUNITY TRUST WOMEN'S RESERVE TEAM
The Reserve Team is predominately made up of ladies who have left the Trust's Centre of Excellence, meaning they can continue their development whilst remaining under the Club’s banner.
The Women compete in the Suffolk Women's League against teams such as Whitton United and AFC Sudbury.
GIRLS DEVELOPMENT
The Ipswich Town Community Trust is fully committed to supporting the development of girls and women’s football. A full programme of development exists within the Trust, ranging from grassroots player development through to the Girls’ Centre of Excellence.
