Playing for Success (PFS) is a national, “out of hours learning” programme designed to raise achievement in literacy, numeracy and ICT skills amongst Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils. It uses the medium of sport to raise attainment, self esteem and levels of motivation.

Hold the Back Page is an exciting daytime learning programme offered to schools throughout the region. The one day visit provides the whole class with a chance to develop their literacy skills in the unique and challenging environment of a professional sporting environment. Combined with an opportunity to include a sports coaching session the programme is a popular choice amongst our region’s schools, offering an opportunity to be a “journalist for the day” – literally bringing learning to life!



MORE THAN JUST A GAME

More Than Just a Game is an exciting education programme offered to schools as part of a “day trip” to Ipswich Town Football Club. Targeted at Key Stage 2 and 3, the programme offers fun and challenging activities based around literacy, numeracy and science – showing pupils that what goes at Portman Road really is “More than Just a Game.”



QUEST

QUEST is the newest addition to the Education Portfolio of the Ipswich Town Community Trust. It offers Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils from schools across the region a chance to engage in an exciting and practical series of science challenges.



AIM HIGHER

Aim Higher is a “careers” programme that literally encourages students to “Aim Higher”.

It is specifically targeted at Key Stage 4 and Further Education College students who might well be the first members of their family to attend University. Aim Higher is intended to raise awareness of the doors that higher education qualifications can open to young people.



DOUBLE CLUBS

Double Clubs is an innovative outreach education programme based around football. It is funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCFS) and offers pupils a range of subjects, combined with an active football coaching session.



Community Trust - Giving IT back
